This Operating Guide Revision Request (OGRR) revises Operating Guide to meet the needs of the changes in the ERCOT Transmission System including CREZ requirements. The revised language reflects the majority opinion of the System Protection Working Group (SPWG) and is a result of a collaborative effort.

The reasons for this OGRR are:
1. To update the current Operating Guide to meet current practices;
2. Provide protection standards updates for all lines including CREZ lines; and, 3. Meet pending NERC Reliability Standards using all available technologies and applying standards to a wide range of new construction.
