Betty Day

Betty Day was named vice president of business integration for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) in June 2011.  Prior to this position, Ms. Day served as director of commercial market operations.

Ms. Day joined ERCOT in 2000 to head ERCOT's load profiling department. In 2005 she was promoted to director of commercial market operations and given additional responsibility for all commercial market functions, including retail customer choice, settlement metering, data aggregation, and settlements & billing.

Ms. Day has more than 20 years of experience in the electric power industry, including three years with Central Maine Power and nine years with East Kentucky Power Cooperative.  She holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and physics from Berea College in Kentucky.
