Mark Ruane

Mark Ruane was named vice president of credit and enterprise risk management for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) in February 2011.  Prior to joining ERCOT, Mr. Ruane was the Group Trading Risk Manager for the Electricity Supply Board (ESB), Ireland's premier electricity utility.   

Prior to ESB, Mr. Ruane worked in various consulting roles through Accenture in the United States and globally, with a focus on risk management issues for RTOs and electricity providers.  

Mr. Ruane holds a master’s of business administration in finance and accounting from the University of Houston and has more than 20 years experience in the risk management field.
