Jorge Bermudez

Jorge A. Bermudez has 33 years of experience with Citibank/Citigroup Inc., most recently as chief risk officer.  Prior to that, he served as chief executive officer of Citigroup’s commercial business group for North America and Texas.  He also held leadership positions in other divisions including equity investments, credit policy, and internet banking.   

Mr. Bermudez retired from Citigroup in 2008 and currently serves as chief executive officer of Byebrook Group in College Station, a research and advisory firm in the financial services industry.  He serves on the boards of the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley, the Texas A&M International Board, and the Texas A&M Association of Former Students. 

Mr. Bermudez is a resident of College Station and holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University.
